Cupcake Crazy

Today is my Sister's birthday! I made this card last night! I was so organised with the Auntie card I made a few weeks ago but forgot to make a card from us.

The colour combo is Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose, Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip. I have used my Crazy for Cupcakes set and coloured the cupcakes in with my markers. Papers are from the Sweet Always selection. I have added the ever useful mini message from Craftwork Cards and added a single cupcake.
Next Saturday I am holding a Christmas Craft Event at my house near Leeds. Please e mail me on julie.kettlewell@ntlworld.com for more information. Below is a reminder of what we will be making in the Bags, Tags and Boxes class. The class costs £7 which includes all materials and refreshments and you will be able to order Stampin' Up! Products on the day.
I have had a little treat out today to Craftwork Cards workshop with the lovely Julie Hickey. I had a great morning and we made some lovely cards and I bought Julie's new book which is full of inspiration!!
Have a great rest of your weekend

All in the Family

When I saw this set in the new catalogue I was so excited!!! The All in the Family set is so versatile as you can make a card for anyone with this set!!! I made the Auntie card a few weeks ago and stamped a minature version of my sons with my sister. Then a couple of weeks ago I stamped a Brother card for my little boy and added two boys on the card.
Here is another way of using the set, this is a New Baby card with a difference!! Now I have to tell you I was in a rush to make this card so its not quite as fancy as I would of liked it to be but my friend liked it. The funny thing is, her husband is bald but there were no "mens heads" in the set that didn't have hair on!!!! So I had to use the babies head for the Daddy and mask off the little curl on top!!!
The houses in the background are from the Neighbourhood wheel which I used for the first time and coloured in (very quickly and a bit messy!) with my Earth Elements Watercolour Wonder Crayons. Paper is Sweet Always and used my scallop edge punch.
It was nice to have a break from Christmas cards to be honest!!!

To you from Me!!

Today's card is another card from the fabulous A Rose is a Rose set. I made 2 of these cards to say thank you to 2 special ladies who have just joined my team! They should have them today so I am OK to post I hope!!
The colour combination is So Saffron, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip.
I have used the Rose is a Rose set for the main rose image and the leaves and also the little flower as the background. The sentiment is from the Level 1 Hostess set called Best Yet. The papers are Tea and Crumpets.
If you are thinking of taking the plunge and signing up to become a Stampin Up demonstrator, please drop me a line. All details are in my side bar and I still have my offer on of an extra free stamp set if you sign up with me! You don't have to do workshops, you can simply sign up as a "hobby" demo and get SU products at a discounted price!!! The starter kit costs £139 but you receive over £240 worth of items plus the stamp set I am offering!!

Marker and Ink Spot club!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Gosh no sooner do I fill one club or share then I get a request to do another one!! I can't keep up with you all !!! LOL

I have had a request to set up an Su Marker and Stampin Spot club.

This club requires 4 people (I already have 1) and only runs for 4 months.

Each month I will order the Full Marker set and a set of each of the Stampin Spot mini ink pads (12 in each set). This will be divided between the 4 people and you will receive 12 Markers from the same colour family and a set of Stampin Spots from the same colour family as your markers! (With me so far?)

Now because the monthly total of orders I place will be over £15o we will qualify for a free Level 1 stamp set and also £15 to spend in the catalogue. So each of the months 1 person will get these benefits.

When the club finishes you should all have the full 48 markers in their storage container and 4 sets of Stampin Spots (please note there is only one set in the photo!
The markers are perfect for colouring in your stamped images aswell as using them to colour directly onto your stamps. The Stampin Spots are great for inking up your stamps and because of their size perfect for edging around your cardstock.
The cost of the club will be £45 a month including postage/packing or if you live locally and £42 a month if you are happy to collect from me!
For more information or to book a place please contact me on julie.kettlewell@ntlworld.com
Thanks

Welcome Little One!

I have had this set a couple of weeks and not had a play yet so as there are a lot of my friends having babies recently it was the perfect time to use it!!

I have CASED this card from the Stampin' Up! catalogue, see page 29. I find the catalogue a great source of inspiration for card layouts as well as being great to flick through while having a cuppa!!!

The colour combo is Bashful Blue, Whisper White and Close to Cocoa.

The stamp set is Nursery Necessities and I have used the Nursery Letters wheel, trimmed with Bashful Blue Double Stitched Grosgrain and used the Scallop Edge Punch.

Hope you like!

***** If you are still pondering on whether to sign up as a demo please get in touch asap, the offer on my side bar is still active, a free stamp set if you sign up with me before the end of the year. Don't worry about doing parties and workshops, I have members in my team who are simply with SU as "hobby demos". If you would like more information please contact me on julie.kettlewell@ntlworld.com *****

Sketch Saturday

Here is my card for the Sketch Saturday challenge, its a bit pale as I had to use the flash!!
THe papers are my lovely Dashing papers which are retired from SU but available "while stocks last". Not sure how much longer that will be as people seem to love them!!
The stamp set I have used is Wondrous Gift and the Image and sentiment are from the same set. You can get this set free on top of normal hostess benefits if you have a party with me in November or December!
Colour combo is Old Olive and Real Read, no brown in sight which makes a change!!!
I am hoping to hold a Christmas tag, box and bag class on Saturday 6th December at my house which is just outside Leeds. There will be a small fee which will cover all materials and refreshments.

Lots of thank yous!!!

Apologies for not being around much lately, the birthday celebrations tired me out and then I felt ill for a couple of days!!! You know you are poorly when you don't even fancy making a card!!!!

Today is a day of thank yous!
Firstly I would like to thank 3 lovely ladies who have recently joined my Stampin Up team, they are Steph, Sarah and Anne. I am really pleased you have become part of the Stampin Up family and I look forward to getting to know you all loads more!!!!!
I would also like to thank my lovely customers who keep coming back for more products!!!! In particular my lovely Stampers 10 ladies and the people who have been part of the Ribbon and Paper Shares I have done.
Thanks to all!!

This card is a very very simple card but I had 8 to make the same so I kept it simple. The card is only 9.5 cm square and is to say thanks to another bunch of lovely ladies.
The colour scheme is Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose and Chocolate Chip, the papers are Sweet Always and the stamps are from the Level 2 hostess set, Spring Solitude.
Now the next card was a card I was lucky enough to receive this morning from my fantastic downline Steph!!! Steph doesn't have a blog, I think she is scared to show her cards!!!!!!
OMG this card is so gorgeous I have been admiring it all day long. Steph sent me this and 2 stamps, how kind of you Steph, you are a star!!
My crafty friend Diane came round this afternoon and saw this on my table and she couldn't get in the kitchen quick enough to have a proper look at it!!
Steph, you need a blog to share all these lovely cards with the world!!

Signing off now for a night of crafting with some of my new SU stuff!!!

Special Brother!

Well Evan had a lovely day yesterday, thanks for all your birthday wishes for him! We had a very "LEGO" birthday!! They have got a training day at school today so its quite nice that he is getting to play will all his new Lego!!

Here is the card that I made late on Wednesday night for Ross to give to his little brother. I love this new All in the Family set, you can make a card for anyone with it!

I am out of my comfort zone here, colour wise but I love the combination. I knew I wanted to use the Rainbow Sherbert papers and I combined it with Tempting Turquoise ribbon and Green Galore cardstock. The boys have been coloured in with my markers and I doodled around with the SU Journalling pen. Sentiment is a oval message from Craftwork Cards.

I now only have 2 places left in the paper share if you would like to join. Please see previous posts.
Thats all for now

Happy Birthday Evan!

Tomorrow (Thursday) is my little boys 6th birthday. I am feeling a bit sad really as he is growing up so quickly and turning into a lovely grown up boy!!!I have just put him back into bed (he won't settle down as he is so excited for tomorrow) and we have looked at the photo album of when he was born!! Brought back all the memories!!!
Here he is on Bonfire Night!
Here is the card I have made for him. He is Mr Men mad at the moment, he has most of the books and is always drawing them so I HAD to make him a Mr Men card. I have made the backing paper myself and printed the individual Mr Men onto card. My favorite part has to be Mr Bounce who I have added to a strip of acetate so he bounces around at the top of the card.

Have a lovely birthday my darling boy, we love you so much - Mum xx

Will be back in a couple of days, the celebrations are lasting for 3 days (oh to be 6 again!)

Sketch Saturday and Gift Giving

I am back on with brown on my cards again, I cant seem to stop using it!!!! The colour combo is So Saffron with Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa with Old Olive for the leaves. The papers are Tea and Crumpets and the sentiment is from the Level 1 Hostess Set Best Yet. I have distressed the edges with my cutting tool set and used chalks around the edge to give an aged look. I have coloured Tilda with my SU inkpads and layered the image with Apricot Appeal. Ribbon is SU Pink Gingham and the name is stamped with the Big Deal Alpha in Apricot Appeal again.

Holidays are coming.... Holidays are coming....

Don't you just love that Coca Cola advert with the Santa on the big truck!! I always know Christmas is getting closer when you start seeing it on TV. Havent seen it yet but I am sure its only a matter of time!!!

On Friday I went to my lovely friend Anna's house to do a spot of Christmas crafting, Stampin' Up! style!!

When we arrived they was a smell of homemade muffins in the air!! Yummy!!! I had to partake in 1 or 2 just to be polite!!!
Here is the selection of projects we made. Some people did all of them, some just did 2 or 3. But we all had fun and got into the Christmas mood!!!

Here is a close up of the Santa card. I found this on Splitcoast Stampers and decided to have a go. It makes a nice change from stamping! I think I will make some of these with my boys!

Next is a close of of a gift bag. I got the instructions for this from Monica on In Love With Stamping and I have made quite a few now. Its very easy once you know how!! I will be making these as teacher gifts this Christmas I think!!! Maybe filled with some choccies!! Papers used are from the retired set Dashing, still available while stocks last.

Finally a close up of my brand new set, Tags for All. I treat myself when I found out I had got my promotion. It is fantastic to make really quick and easy tags. I made these in about 15 minutes. The elastic cord is fab, you get loads on a reel and its perfect for tags and decorations!

Colours used for the tags are Chocolate Chip, Old Olive and Ruby Red!
Bye for now!

Been a busy bee!

These last couple of weeks have been really busy for me Stampin' Up! wise, which is fab!!!

On Tuesday evening I went over to the lovely Elaine's house and did a class with a lovely bunch of ladies and we have a great night!

We used the gorgeous and quite understated Pocket Silhouettes stamp set, a perfect set for making smaller notelet style cards.

You will have seen pictures of one I made a couple of weeks ago. I had problems finding envelopes to fit inside it so had to re-design the whole thing from a sheet of 12x12. The cards measure 10.5 cms so you can make 2 from a sheet of A4.

The papers used are Tea and Crumpets and the colour combination is Always Artichoke, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, and you guessed it, Chocolate Chip!!!
Accessories used were the Scallop Edge Punch, Scallop Square Punch and the Scallop Circle Punch, so plenty of scallops!! LOL!
Dont forget my blog candy celebrations, FREE P&P on all orders placed with me until Sunday at 7pm.
All Clubs and shares are now full but if you are interested in joining another please mail me on julie.kettlewell@ntlworld.com

Have a great weekend

I am on a mission this year to make sure all you lovely ladies get the craft pressies that you want and deserve!!!!! SO I am offering a Stampin' Up! Wish List service.
Basically you need to browse the catalogue, if you dont have one click on my link on the right to view the UK catalogue and make a list of all the things you would like for Christmas. You then need to mail me your list and pass my details on to your friends and family. They can then contact me and pay for and select things off your list!!!! I will even wrap them and send them out to them.
The closing date for orders is Friday 5th December so I can ensure that the goodies are ready to be packed onto Santa's sleigh!!!

Remember the more you put on your list, the more I can persuade them to buy for you!!!

Monday 3 November 2008

Happy Monday!!!

Well my ribbon arrived for the ribbon share and I am all ribboned out, will have to post piccies later on!!!

ONE PLACE LEFT IF ANYONE WANTS IT!!

Something a little different from me today. Religious cards are not something I tend to send but I can appreciate why people would want to send them so I have come up with 2 designs using the new Christ is Born set. Its a simple set, focusing on the sentiments rather than images.

I often think these days we tend to forget the true meaning of Christmas and the sentiment on this card "Wishing you the joy and wonder of the first Christmas" is a lovely sentiment.
Colour combo for both is Old Olive, Ruby Red and Chocolate Chip (what a surprise!). The papers are from the Holiday Treasures which I have used loads of!!! Think I will need a new pack soon!!

I am celebrating today as during the month of October I received 2 promotions from Stampin Up and I am now level Silver 1!! I am so pleased and it is thanks to all my lovely customers and club members who have helped me to get here so thank you for that! I would also like to thank my lovely but crazy upline Monica for all her help and support!!
To help celebrate my SU promotion and also my 25,000 blog hits I am going to be offering a fabbo blog candy so watch this space. I will be back with it tomorrow!!
