Stamp With Us sketch challenge

Yay Happy Sunday and a sketch!!! OO I love a sketch cos it makes my life easier! So here is the sketch for the Stamp with Us challenge this week!!!
I am back to my masculine cards this week and I know straight away what I wanted to do and I must say I am SOOooooo pleased with this card, I just hope my husband appreciates it!!!!! This card is A5 in size as I couldnt fit everything on that I wanted to on a normal square one that I usually do!!!
The colour combo is Tempting Turquoise, Green Galire, Gable Green. The stamp set is of course All in the Family, coloured in with my markers. The DAD lettering is stamped with the Schoolbook Serif alphabet which I use loads!

I took a bit longer with this card and inked around all the edges of the scallop circles and the stars, I think it makes such a difference and makes them stand out more.
I cheated a bit and used Certainly Celery ribbon which is quite a good match for the Gable Green and I have added a couple of buttons to the stars and wound some tiny strips of paper through them.

Looking forward to seeing all the other creations.

Challenge Gift Bag

Last night some of my lovely Jems and I had a cyber night and did a couple of challenges!
The first challenge, which I set, was to use some bright colours, we all didnt like doing this challenge and I am not sure if I will show my card, I might do another day!!! Lets just say, it wasnt my finest moment!!!
Then Sarah B challenged us to use the last stamp set we purchased and to make something other than a card!!!!! Well I didnt buy this set because you cant, its a hostess one but I did get it recently!!!!
I have made a Gift bag, you cannot really see that its a bag on here, it just looks flat but it is 5cm deep and 11cm square. We only had 45 minutes to do the challenge or I would have gone a bit fancier!!!
The stamp set is Happiness Always and the colour combo is So Saffron, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery!

I was quite pleased with it to say we only had a limited time!! ANd it was 9pm on a Friday night!!!

Back tomorrow with my Stamp with Us card, cant wait to show you it!!

Sketch Saturday meets Cute Card Thursday!

Havent really done any challenges this week so here are 2 challenges combined! The first is Sketch Saturday and the other is Cute Card Thursday which was to use a bit of Bling!!!
My good friend Natalie kindly stamped some of these new Miss Anyas for me when I called round to deliver her SU goodies today!! Thanks Nat!!!! I promised I would use them straight away!!!
I have coloured with my copics and I am still learning, its a long process but today I got adventurous and shaded round the edge in cool grey for the first time!!!

The papers are from the Tea Party set and the colours are So Saffron, Almost Amethyst and a touch of Certainly Celery. I have added some SO Saffron striped grosgrain and used the sentiment from the Best Yet set punched out with the 1 3/8 circle and then the Scallop Circle

And here is a bit of bling on my card!!!
Back tomorrow hopefully if I can fight my way out of the wedding orders!

Mini card classes

I have been running monthly card classes this year and have so many ideas for classes I am struggling to fit all the ideas in and am thinking of doing more frequent classes.
I am therefore looking to set up some mini card classes on alternate Friday mornings at my house. These will be for a maximum of 5 people and the maximum charge will be £5.00
The projects will be the same level of ability as my normal classes but will not be as time consuming and the classes will last around 1.5 - 2 hours.
If you are interested in attending please let me know and I can start making plans. Please note these will be in term time only!!

Boxed 60th Card

Last card to show from the orders from last couple of days. My friend wanted a special 60th card, it is actually for her Grandma to give to her Daughter in Law. I decided to go with the Tea Party papers again, I need to get some more now! I did cheat and use Certainly Celery Designer Papers on the front of the box. Printed the wording out on my PC and then I cut it out with the Oval Nesties.
Added a bow and some retro blooms

Inside the box is a 3 fold card which was made by adhering 2 card blanks together.

Inside the first circle says Birthday Wishes and the other circle has the age on, I have left the oval in the middle blank for the customer to write her own message.

Hope she like!

30th Brother Beer card

The same friend as yesterdays card asked me to make a card for her Brother for his 30th. I always think you can't go wrong with these beer mugs from the Cheers to You set so I thought I would make a card with these.
Decided to make a zig zag card (not sure if you call it that) as we are going to be making one of these at my You've got Male class on the 2oth June.

The papers are from Spiced Cider and the colour combo is Chocolate Chip, Close to cocoa and Old Olive. The beer mugs are coloured with the markers and then cut out and layered on, a couple of stars added too. Wording printed on my PC, the font is Papyrus.
Back tomorrow with the last card from this order!

Wedding Card order

Here is a wedding card that a friend ordered from me, I have done this style for her before and she liked it so decided to stick with the same! You cannot see very well but its cream pearlescent card and I have cuttlebugged a section in the middle piece and layered the stamped image over it.
I love these Tying the Knot papers and I only have a small piece left, I cannot remember who they are by! The stamp is a Stampendous stamp I believe.

Added some diamante gems for a bit of bling and the date of the wedding to make the card a nice keepsake.

See you tomorrow

Cute Card Thursday card!

I have been busy making cards last night so will show them over the next couple of days! This one is for the Cute Card Thursday challenge which was A Sprting Chance, you simply have to use a sporting image on your card.
It is my eldest sons 10th Birthday in a few days time so I have made a card from his Brother to give to him. His name is Ross but Evan often calls his big brother Rossi! So I thought it would be cute to stamp that on the card.
The papers are some that I havent used very often, Junior Varsity, I love them now!!! The cricket image is Paper Nation, Ross is obsessed with Cricket!

I used the Schoolbook Serif alphabet to stamp the name in Old Olive and then added punched out stars with Real Red buttons. I did a little trick I saw someone do on another blog and I wound round tiny thin strips of paper instead of cotton.

We have been gardening this morning (our garden is huge and I hate gardening but it is very overgrown!). We found this little fella amongst all the weeds!!!

Back tomorrow with another card, be sure to check in!

Stamp with Us Recipe challenge!

Happy Sunny Sunday!
This weeks Stamp with Us challenge was a recipe challenge to use
1 patterned paper
2 ribbons
1 flower
1 button
I must say I have found this to be the hardest challenge since joining the DT, I suppose I found it a bit limiting to be only able to use a few items!
After doing 2 masculine feel cards I am back to my favourite stamps and papers!!!!!
Sweet Always papers and Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set, with Choc Chip and Regal Rose ribbon!

Used my trusty Oval All stamp set and I did cheat a bit and use a flower button rather than a flower and a button!!!
Hope you are enjoying the sunshine!

A "wheely" good afternoon!

This afternoon was my Wonders with Wheels class!!! I think the wheels are something that are hugely under used with Stampin Up, I know I dont use them enough so I thought I would do a whole class with them!
Of course, there were homemade cakes, this time I did Lemon Drizzle cake and also some buns in case anyone didnt want Lemon Drizzle, surprise surprise all the cake went first!!!

I have shown the projects we made over the last few days on my blog but thought I would "showcase" some of the projects made by my lovely ladies! I have to say I havent got all the photos, some were a little camera shy!!
Here we have the projects made by Linda, loving the oval sentiment on the new home card

Next up is Angie, who by the way is a dab hand at knitting cupcakes, see my blog in April for the cupcake she knit for me!!

Here we have Sarah's, I love how Sarah has watercoloured the houses rather than coloured with markers, it looks lovely

and check out the decoupaged kennel, how cute is that!

and finally we have some cards from Emily who is only 10!! At first she didnt want to make anything but then decided to join in!!! Good on you Emily, and tell your Mum at least you let me take a photo of yours!! Hers made it into her bag pretty quickly I think!

I had a fab afternoon and am looking forward to the next one, 20th June if anyone is interested, details in sidebar
Back tomorrow with my Stamp with Us DT card

Last Night I had a lovely evening at Beryl's house with lots more ladies than we thought would turn up!!!! It was a blast, I just had enough kits for them all to make the card I showed yesterday!
Just wanted to say hello to any of the ladies who came and are reading my blog, thanks for your orders and Beryl was very pleased too!
Today I am holding my Wonders with Wheels class so I will hopefully be back tonight with some photos of the class

Workshop tonight

Tonight I have a Stampin Up workshop with a lovely bunch of ladies at the even lovelier Beryl's house!! Really looking forward to it!
I will be demoing some products but most importantly the ladies will be getting their hands dirty and making this card!
Using the Tea Party papers, which are still on offer until the end of the month and the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set! The cupcakes have been coloured with the inkpads and blender pens and the colour combo is a very spring like Pretty in Pink, So Saffron and Certainly Celery.

I have of course used my favourite Oval punches to punch out the sentiment!

Jems Challenge Number 3

SOme of you may know I have a fabulous team of girls in my downline and we are called Julie's Jems! They are a fab bunch and every so often we do a challenge whereby someone sends out a kit and we have to make something with it and we agree a date and time to post it on our blogs! Its great fun looking at all the blogs to see what people have come up with using the same products!
This time it was Sarah B's turn, the queen of all 3D!!!! She sent us 2 sets of die cuts which are the French Frie style cartons!! In brown and white. I have pondered over what to do with these for days and last night finally decided to make one for each of my boys!

They are obsesses with these WWE cards at the moment (I hate them) and I find them all over the house so I am going to use these to tidy them up and get them to pop them in here!!! Works in theory anyway!!!!

Very simply decorated using the Chocolate Chip designer papers and the Short Order alphabet and star punch!

Looking forward to seeing the other creations!

Thanks Sarah for taking me out of my comfort zone!

Papertake Weekly and Spoonfull of Sugar

Yeah I managed to combine 2 challenges this week!!! The Papertake Weekly Challenge sketch by Dawn and A Spoonfull of Sugar is celebrating its first birthday so you had to simply make a card for a Celebration!
I have used another Miss Anya which I am obessesed with at the moment! I dont even own them, I am still on the batch that Vicky kindly stamped for me! Of course I teamed it with my favourite papers ever, Sweet Always!!! Love em so much!!! The papers are still on offer this month don't forget!

The sentiment is from the Crazy for Cupcakes set which is another one of my favourites!! I have stamped it on to patterened paper just to be a bit different and then punched out with the Oval punches!

I will be back later on tonight with a project I need to upload for our Jem's challenge!

Bookmark Card

Here is another card we will be making on Saturday at the Wonders with Wheels class. This is a bookmark card which I have almost totally cased from Amanda. I hope you don't mind Amanda? I got one almost identical in a swap I did at training in January from Amanda and I love it!

The panel at the back actually detaches to make a bookmark, the perforation lines are made using the Cutter Kit, a handy little tool!

Colour Combo is Pretty in Pink, Close to Cocoa and Chocolate Chip

My favourite clear rhinestone brads from the Pretties kit is added to the centre of the flower.
If you would like to make this card and more please mail me to book a place for Saturday

Another card from the Wheel class

Here is another card we will be making on Saturday! This time a card for a little boy using the Choo Choo stamp set and the Right on Track wheel.
The card is quite small, 9.9cm square and opens up into 3 sections, there is a similar card in the SU mini catalogue which inspired me to make this one!
Colours used are Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Brilliant Blue and Real Red! Perfect primary colours for a little boy!

The grass has been doodled on using the Old Olive marker pens and I have used the Schoolbook Serif Numbers and punched out with the 1 3/8 punch and layered up with the scallop circle punch

Thats all for now, I still have places for Saturday if anyone is interested in coming along!!!

Wonders with Wheels class - This Saturday

On Saturday I will be having a card class in Pudsey using the Stampin Up Wheels. Its the perfect chance to have a go with the wheels if you don't have any. We will be making a variety of different cards.
Here is one of the cards we will be making using the Neighbourhood wheel to make a New Home card.
Using a colour combo if Earth Elements, a very simple card using a lot of colouring in! I have coloured with the markers but you can use the inkpads and a brush or blender pens.

Inside is a little house that I have stamped again, cut out and stuck to the insert!
I have a couple of places left, if you would like more info please mail me on julie.kettlewell@ntlworld.com

Stamp with Us Challenge

I have been a bad bad blogger, but I am back from Oz now, feeling slightly hungover and very tired but ready to "get back to normal!"!!!
I did manage to still do my DT card for Stamp with Us this week which was a colour theme challenge based on the sketch below!
I decided to make a male card this week as I always find them a challenge!!! I went for a very simple shirt and tie style card using a template I got from Craftwork cards!

Bashful Blue papers for the shirt and Old Olive for the tie. The Dad wording is stamped with the Short Order Alphabet.

Thank you for all your lovely comments on my Nephew, I hope to be back to normal with lots more cards this week!
