Bright 65th Grandma card

Good morning campers!!

Its a bit better day here weather wise and Robino is off work so we have loads to do! Today we are sorting Ross's bedroom and hoping to clear a space to get him a desk for his homework.

I have been asked to make a few cards for people recently and today is the first of them. This is for a lady at the Cricket Club whose Mum is turning 65. She wants a card from her and hubby (will show that another day) and a card from her children - see below!!!

I had the Sweet and Sour papers out from another card I was making so I decided to use them up.

The stamp set is of course All in the Family which I havent used for a while. Colour combo of Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo

I love the Broadsheet alphabet but it would have been too much to stamp the whole word in it so I opted for the first letter and then the rest with the Just Perfect alphabet.

Added the 65 using the Timeless Type alphabet (love it) and I even inked round the edges - check it out Victoria!!

Finished it off with lots of butterflies from the Beautiful Wings embosslit!

COme back tomorrow for another Bright card!!

More Owl eye candy!!!

Good morning and happy Saturday to you!!

THank you for your lovely comments about my Owl card yesterday, I am back with another one today!!! This one was for my online and blogging friend Michelle of The Card Grotto!! We have been blogging friends for quite some time now and she is a great supporter of my Stampin Up business. Anyway, Michelle is a nurse so I decided to make the owl into a little nurse which I have seen on a number of blogs

The colour combo today is Real Red, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake. The papers are from the Play Date range .
I have added the sentiment from Party this Way and stamped it onto the new Four Frames set which I stamped in Crumb Cake ink.

I know Michelle had a lovely day as I have seen the photos of her birthday pressies on Facebook and she was very spoiled!!!

Looking forward to an afternoon of crafting with my friend Jane today so I must dash as I have to take Evan to dancing too!!

Loving the Owl Punch

Good morning my lovely readers!! I am still in PJ mode this morning as Evan has a training day so its been nice not to have to get dressed yet and take him to school!!!

I am loving the Owl punch as are lots of my customers and I keep thinking of different ways to use him/her!! The punch is so versatile and great for many different cards, todays offering is a female birthday card.

I made this one with my lovely new downline Sally when she came over for training on Wednesday.

I have used a Crumb Cake card base and then Regal Rose DSP from the fantastic valued paper packs. I used a Top Note die in Very Vanilla and wrapped it over the edge of the card.
The flowers are made using one of the punches from the Itty Bitty set and I added a rhinestone in the middle of them, the leaves are from the Little Leaves die - another popular item this month and great value at only £4.95 - its a great addition to the Owl punch so you can create something for him/her to sit on!

I finished the card off with some Old Olive taffeta ribbon and a sentiment from the Curly Cute set.

Hope you like my card, I was really pleased with this one.

Back tomorrow with another Owl Card

Wonderful Workshops

Good morning!!!!

I have been lucky enough to do 2 lovely workshops this week with 2 of my most wonderful and supportive hostesses!! I wanted to share with you what we made at the workshops.

I am still very much in Big Shot mode and have made a similar bag to one I made for Ann's workshop back in April but this time I have used the Top Note die for the lid and embossed it. I got the idea of the fastening from my good friend down south - Jo!!!

The colours we used are Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive - all from the Brights family.

The card is the same as the one we made at the workshop last month but I just changed the colours.

I just loved the VIntage Wallpaper embossing folder, its my favourite one!

Before I go I want to thank 2 special ladies - Ginnette and Sally. Ginnette is my wonderful friend and customer who is so helpful to me, she was a wonderful help at Elaine's workshop on Monday. And Sally is my most recent new Downline and she came over for training yesterday which coincided with Beryl's workshop - Sally thanks so much - you were a star!!

Big Shot Bits and Bobs!

Good morning

Fab workshop at Elaine's last night, some old friends and some new ones too which is always good! Thanks Elaine for having me!!!!

I was going to show the projects we made last night but I am doing the same ones at Beryl's workshop tomorrow night so I will save them for another day!!

Here are a few bits I made with my Big Shot

Pillow Box, very very quick and easy to do and makes lovely table gifts or favours

Basket, made using the Scallop Evelope die, again very very easy to make!

And finally a really cute little treat pouch, just big enough for a little chocolate bar. It uses the Top Note die and the Word Window punch

I have added the Fun Flowers die and the Little Leaves die.

Thats all for now, sorry its short and sweet!! I have lots of SU things to prep and plan today!

The girly version

Hello there! I am a bit late posting today, it's been a hectic week with the show and the boys being poorly, but they are back at school now and the show is going sooooo well!! We had rapturous applause last night and one of my lovely downlines Gem was in the audience with her pals last night giving her "mummy" a cheer! Thanks Gem!!

Here is a card I made for my lovely second level downline Niki. Niki had her little girl Sophie a few weeks early but I am sure she will be home very very soon. Huge congrats to Niki and Ben

The card is similar to yesterdays but this time it is an A5 size card and obviously girlie colours!! So Saffron, Pretty in Pink and Crumb Cake.

My favourite part of this is the banner or bunting with Sophie's name on. I stamped the Four Frames and then stamped the letters in each one with the Just Perfect alphabet and then I simply folded them in half.

Bit of stamping inside too!!

Hope the card has arrived safely Niki and that Sophie will be home soon!

Little Additions - boy version

Hello there!

One of my lovely customers recently had her first baby - a little boy, Jack!

I wanted to use the Little Additions set from the Mini which I recently earned for FREE (ask me more about being a demonstrator and earning FREE sets - lots of my team have earned them too). I chose a colour combo of Pear Pizazz, Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake.

I stamped a little scene with the various elements from the stamp set.

Then I stamped the polka dot Four Frames and added Jack's name with the Just Perfect alphabet, it just fit in perfectly!

And then a quick sentiment inside from Curvy Verses with a little teddy bear!

I am not sure Zoe will be having time to read my blog but hope you liked it Zoe!!

Simple card for Harry

Good morning

Sorry but this will be a really short post today. I have Evan off home from school poorly and my show that I am in opens tonight - bad timing!!! I also bashed my knee on a door on stage that wasnt supposed to be open so I am struggling today, have a large purple bruise and not looking forward to the pain when I try and dance tonight!!

Here is a card I made for Ross's friend Harry. Had to keep it simple as he is 12 and everything I suggested to Ross was too "babyish"!!

So I just die cut his name with the fab Timeless Type alphabet and used the Celebrations papers and a few punches. Really easy!

Hope you like it and I will be back tomorrow!!
