Celebrate Today

Hello there! I am back with my usual crafty post today, sharing one of the makes from last weeks Stamp a Stack. I thought this card could be used as a Birthday card or also to celebrate exam success or job success. Exams are very much at the fore front of our family at the moment as our eldest son is taking his GCSEs this year! I do feel a little bit like the revision police at the moment.
I did see a card that inspired me on Pinterest which I more or less cased. To create the balloon you need to die cut 3 balloons using the dies and then fold and adhere them together but leave one side flat to stick down to your card. The clouds were created with the Cupcake punch from glimmer paper and the word Celebrate was stamped in full ink and then stamped off to create a paler colour.

I think I might put this card away and hope that we have something to celebrate in August!

A little bit about me!

I’m having a little break from creative postings today and sharing some details with you about my day yesterday! What can I say - it was pretty full on but so enjoyable! I think it was the first time ever that I ran 3 events in one day!I slept very well last night!

In the morning I had my Tuesday Coffee and Card at the Mill Kitchen in Farsley. I am getting new people every week but also regular ladies are coming back to make a card, have a cuppa and a chat. I really enjoy these sessions. I have a Crafternoon Tea event there on Sunday and I am really looking forward to it. I am sure you will agree it’s a lovely space and I love how the light streams in!
This is the card my ladies made yesterday, a little bit more challenging as I made them tie a bow!!!
Look how happy my ladies look. They are all new to paper crafting and I love how happy they are with their creations

After the Coffee and Card session I drove back home to start a Project Life Taster Class for 2 friends at 13.00, a quick bite to eat and then they arrived. I showed them the basics and we worked through their photos. Here is my little craft den all ready for them.
We had a lovely catch up and then it was almost time to sort tea! After tea I loaded the car (again) and made my way to the church for our BYOP evening -  Bring your own projects. Its a lovely evening and the ladies bring a variety of paper crafts and we catch up and have a laugh. There were 11 of us last night which was brilliant.
Thank you to everyone who supports my events. I enjoy spending time with you and helping you along with your creative journey.

Today is the last day to take advantage of my Online Code Club for April. I will be closing the order at 8pm this evening.
If you would like a little gift sending in the post to you in early May then just place an order on my store (minimum £20) and use the Hostess Code

Football Card

Hello there! Back with another card from last weeks male themed Stamp a Stack and this one is for all those football fans out there. I’m sure we can all think of someone who we could send this card to. It’s not a new design, I have done ones similar before but we have never attempted it at a Stamp a Stack before.
I used a Circle framelit in Old Olive for the football and then used various hexagon punched out shaped in Basic Black and Whisper White. The fringe scissors were used for the grass and it took a couple of ladies a little time to get to grips with them, we did laugh when they trimmed the grass a bit too much!
The card needed a little something at the top so I added some Basic Black Bakers Twine and a sentiment from And Many More stamped in Old Olive and punched out with the Large Oval punch.
Tomorrow is the last day to use my Online Code Club Hostess Code

Bow Builder Bow Tie Card

Hello there! It’s another sunny Monday here in Yorkshire and was up and dressed and raring to go early this morning! Thanks for your well wishes for our dance exams, I think they went quite well!

Today I am sharing a card which I really enjoyed making and one I think is just a great card for a fella. This design was totally cased from my team member and great friend Sarah-Jane, she makes some awesome cards! Thanks S-J!
I made a couple of changes and I was pleased with how it turned out. One little tip for you - the pattern behind the main paper is not the checked pattern so you need to adhere some of that pattern to the back of the paper.
The sentiments are both from Guy Greetings, a fantastic useful stamp set.
Hope you like this one?

The rewards are building up nicely for my Online Code Club again this month. If you would like a little gift sending in the post to you in early May then just place an order on my store (minimum £20) and use the Hostess Code
